Publications

The ABC produced several publications in the fifties. These included the ABC Weekly, a magazine format, incorporated in Radio but later extended to include Television, which was designed for the ABC audiences. Articles on broadcast personalities, programme run-downs and related activities were the focus of this magazine.

The ABC Radio Active was an in-house staff magazine and covered many of the developing events of the fifties.

The ABC Annual Report was presented to Parliament each year to formally detail the Commission's activities for the preceding year. It included major activities as well as financial reports.

The policy of the Australian Government on the closing of the Gore Hill Site requires that a detailed Heritage Report be commisioned to record the history of the site as well as make recommendations on conservation.. A Conservation Management Plan for the Gore Hill Site was comissioned and published in 2002.
